APPCA Certificate of Completion for the Professional Personal Chef Course

The American Personal & Private Chef Association (APPCA) provides Certificates of Completion to students who complete the Professional Personal Chef course provided they pass an APPCA exam based upon the course content and Wallace and Forte’s The Professional Personal Chef: The Business of Doing Business as a Personal Chef, which covers the information systems and business skills required to set up and operate a legitimate, successful personal-chef business. Once students receive their Certificate of Completion, they can approach the written exam for ACF certification with confidence.

Students are able to apply this APPCA Certificate of Completion toward their ACF certification as either a Personal Certified Chef (PCC) or a Personal Certified Executive Chef (PCEC).

The APPCA exam includes 50 multiple choice, true/false, and matching questions. It is provided to instructors who use Wallace and Forte’s The Professional Personal Chef: The Business of Doing Business as a Personal Chef free of charge. Simply click here to register and gain access to the exam. Approval of username and password is typically granted within 48 hours of registering.

Once an instructor receives an approved username and password, this information will need to be entered on the web site in order to gain access to the APPCA exam. Instructors should then download and print the exam and distribute hard copies to their students. Students should take the exam in a proctored environment, like they would any other exam, and the instructor should collect their completed exams and mail them to Candy Wallace at APPCA for grading. If students pass, they will receive certificates issued by APPCA, indicating they have successfully completed the Professional Personal Chef course. They will have the option to receive their Certificate of Completion electronically or in hard copy via mail.
