US Foreign Policy in Action: An Innovative Teaching Text

Welcome to the instructor's companion site for US Foreign Policy in Action by Jeffrey Lantis.

On this site you will find three 'Web Components', all of which you will find referenced within the textbook. Component I is also available to students and comprises a list of online resources which complement the book's coverage. Component II is also available to students, and contains material on learning and teaching US Foreign Policy through the use of film.

Component III comprises documents A-H. Documents A-G provide an introduction to teaching using active learning, and individual guidance on the specific exercises, namely Structured Debates, Role-Playing Simulations, Teaching Case Studies, and Group Research Presentations. Also included are two bonus exercises. Component III: A-G is password-protected so only instructors may access it, and you will be required to register. Document H, however, is also available to students and provides an appendix to the book on the history of the US and terrorism.

You can access all the materials by simply clicking on the relevant links in the top side menu. You can access the Student Companion Site via the link in the 'Toolbox' in the top right hand corner of this page.
