Real World Research, 4th Edition

Welcome to the Web site for Real World Research, 4th edition by Colin Robson and Kieran McCartan. This Web site gives you access to a wide range of additional material of various kinds.

The material includes examples of real world research, details of useful and interesting websites, annotated lists of recently published texts relevant to each chapter, and extended discussion of topics covered in the text. Most research examples are from journal articles; others are published reports of various kinds. You will need access to a university or other academic library to get full-text versions of many journal articles, although abstracts are often freely available and there is an increasing number of journals where access to the full text is also free. (a list of such open-access journals relevant to real world research is also provided).

You can access these resources in two ways:

1. Using the menu at the top, select a chapter. A list of resources available for that particular chapter will be provided.


2. Using the menu at the top, select a resource. This will allow you to access a particular resource section. You will then have the option of selecting resources within the section or going directly to a specific chapter.
